MUROWA SEEKS FUNDS TO INCREASE PRODUCTION

Murowa Diamonds has said there is need to indigenise diamond and platinum mines in the country so as to attract more investors.
Speaking at the parliamentary portfolio committee on mining where he was giving oral evidence on the operations of the diamond company, RioZim Chief Executive Officer Mr Bhekinkosi Nkomo said an investment of $125 million is needed to increase its life of mine to 3 years.
Mr Nkomo added that they are working on engaging financial institutions to acquire the funds needed to increase productivity at the mine.
Murowa Diamonds is currently working with a life of mine that ends in 18 months’ time.
