Villagers in Mazvihwa area have raised concern at the threat of the blasting activities at Murowa Diamonds which they say are destroying their houses.

Meanwhile Rio Zim Chief Executive Officer Bhekinkosi Nkomo however said the mine has an Environmental Impact Assessment clearance from the Environmental Management Authority and their activities have not affected any nearby homesteads.
In response, the committee Chairperson Honourable Temba Mliswa stressed that mining companies should ensure that their operations are always cleared by environmental expects to avoid conflict with communities.
