Tertiary institutions have complied with government’s directive to reduce tuition fees for students on industrial attachment by 40 percent.
Government last week ordered tertiary institutions to slash attachment fees by 40%, considering the current socio-economic situation in the country.
Institutions such as National University of Science and Technology, Lupane State University and Midlands State University confirmed that they have reduced attachment fees with immediate effect.
Tertiary students have been engaging the government and Ministry of higher education, that paying full tuition fees during industrial attachment is unreasonable as the students do not use most of the institution’s facilities during this period.
