ZIM CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY

Zimbabwe celebrates its 38th independence anniversary today with Great Dyke residents saying the day presents an opportunity for them to reflect on the milestones the country has achieved over the years.
The celebrations come at a time when there is a new government ushered in through a military intervention in November last year which saw President Emmerson Mnangagwa taking over from President Robert Mugabe.
Locals who spoke to YA FM News said government needs to create an enabling environment for them to create wealth.
This year`s celebrations will run under the theme, Zimbabwe at 38: Social Economic Restoration and International Re-engagement, with the main celebrations to be held at the National Sports Stadium.
The district Independence Day celebrations will be held at Siboza.
