Minister of Health and Child Care Dr David Parirenyatwa says more funds should be channelled towards the health sector to reduce the maternal mortality rate in the country.
Minister Parirenyatwa says the sector is worried with the number of pregnancy related deaths which remain high.
On average, Zimbabwe records between 500 000 and 700 000 pregnancies per year, and between 2016 and 2017, 514 women died while giving birth.
