Chief Makonese of Chivi says climate change has affected farming activities in the area.
Speaking to YA FM news, Chief Makonese said this year’s harvest was disturbed by the delays in rains and only a few farmers in the area produced better yields.
He also urged farmers to venture more into gardening and irrigation so as to eradicate hunger and poverty.
The 2017/18 farming season was faced with various challenges which include uneven rains and the outbreak of fall army worm.
