The Nelson Chamisa led MDC-T has deferred its primary elections to next week to allow for more consultations in constituencies where there is more than one candidate.
The internal polls to choose the party`s representatives in the coming elections were supposed to have been held last Friday.
MDC-T National Executive member Senator Lilian Timveos confirmed the development adding that this will allow constituencies with more than one candidate to reach consensus and minimise the number of contested seats.
In Zvishavane-Ngezi constituency prominent lawyer Leopold Mudisi is set to go against Mike Timveos in the primary elections with both candidates already canvassing for votes.
