Zanu PF Midlands Province spokesperson Cornelius Mpereri has dismissed as false reports that there will be a rerun of the Zvishavane-Ngezi National Assembly primary election which were held last week.
The highly contested ticket was won by Dumezweni Mpofu who floored four other contestants including incumbent Zvishavane-Ngezi Member of Parliament John Holder and politburo member Louis Matutu.
The internal polls were marred with irregularities and logistical challenges with some contestants challenging the outcome.
Speaking to YA FM News, Mr Mpereri dismissed the reports saying the reruns will only be done for the Shurugwi-Zvishavane and Mberengwa women`s quota seats.
