Government has incorporated traditional and faith healers in fighting against Tuberculosis in the country.

Speaking on the side lines of media tour organised by International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung disease in Manicaland Province, Chipinge District tuberculosis coordinator Michael Muponda says they have co-opted faith and traditional healers and they are currently training them on how to handle and manage TB in a bid to reduce Tuberculosis burden in the country.

Ministry of Healthy and Child Care recently revealed that tuberculosis has remained a national public health problem in the country and a neglected disease with high prevalence in mining towns.
