Zimbabwe Diamond and Allied Minerals Workers Union (ZIDAMWU) say the ministry of mines did not consult mine workers when appointing the new board members for the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) and Zimbabwe Mining Development Company (ZMDC).
In an interview with YAFM news ZIDAMWU Secretary General Mr Justice Chinhema argued that the boards should have employee representatives so as to have their issues addressed.
Recently minister of mines appointed new ZMDC AND ZCDC board members in a bid to improve the operations of the state entities.
