President Emerson Mnangagwa has expressed the government’s commitment in upgrading Science and technology for the revitalisation of the country’s commerce and industry.

Speaking during the  commissioning of Midlands State University’s first incubation hub in Gweru yesterday, president Mnangagwa says government’s commitment has earlier  seen  the introduction of  STEM initiative  which  has seen high school students getting their fees paid by government.

The President also urged higher learning institutions to adjust their education system to accommodate science and technology as this will go a long way in aiding various initiatives of  progress in society.


Speaking at the same event  Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education Professor Amon Murwira hailed the  President saying his  vision will  immensely  benefit   the economy.

Professor Victor Muzvidziwa the Acting Chancellor of the Midlands State University however  emphasised the need to create an opportunity for all citizens to contribute in the development of the country.
