SHABANIE MINE HOUSES GO FOR WEEK WITHOUT WATER

Shabanie Mine employees who have gone for a week without access to running water have blasted mine authorities for failing to settle a long standing electricity bill.
Employees residing at Maglas, Nil, Birthday, Hill view and Advelorem have not been accessing water for domestic use since last Wednesday.
Disgruntled workers who spoke to YAFM news on condition of anonymity says the development was a mere negligence by responsible authorities leading to disconnection of electricity at the pump station.
In a telephone interview with YAFM news, Shabanie Mine Properties and Amenities Manager Mr Patrick Muguti acknowledged that the challenge was as a result of an unpaid electricity bill owed to to ZESA Holdings.
He however assured residents that they resolved the issue yesterday and normal water supply is expected to resume soon.
