Villagers in Mberengwa have bemoaned the state of the roads and bridges in their area.
Some of the villagers in Mataga who spoke to YaFM News said the roads and bridges in their area are in a bad state and this has led to transport problems with some public transporters shunning that route.
Those who still ply the route often increase the cost of transport in order to meet costs of maintaining their vehicles.
Meanwhile addressing a rally at Mataga in Mberengwa yesterday Vice President Constantino Chiwenga said government was addressing the problem of roads in Mberengwa.
The roads in Mberengwa were destroyed by Cyclone Dineo. The bridges that were washed away include Nkankezi Bridge along Zvishavane-Mbalabala Road, Jeka Bridge along Danga-Dolo Road and Nuanetsi Bridge along Mberengwa-West Nicholson Road.
