ZEC URGED TO ESTABLISH DISABILITY FRIENDLY POLLING STATIONS

The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission has urged the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission to establish infrastructure that is disability friendly at polling stations countrywide.In an interview with YA FM news, Mr Trust Siphuma, the commission`s Human Rights Officer under the Education and Promotion Unit said the infrastructure should cater for all forms of disabilities, so that persons living with disabilities can exercise their voting rights.

People living with disabilities have long been calling for the recognition of their voting rights by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.
