CHIEF MASUNDA SLAMS FAITH HEALERS
Written by Panashe Madzinga on July 11, 2018
Chief Masunda has called upon faith healers for the apostolic sect to value human life and desist from rendering assistance to pregnant women who are supposed to be attended by the trained hospital Staff.
His concern comes after a thirty seven year old woman; Hilder Mazingari from Mabasa died from labour complications while she was being attended to by a faith healer.
The woman was pregnant with twins and one of her children later died while under care at Zvishavane District Hospital.
Chief Masunda told YAFM news that the community was disappointed with the development saying they will seriously engage the apostolic faith healers on this matter.
Meanwhile the deceased’s husband Mr Tachiona Ndawona is appealing for financial assistance from wellwishers to take care of the surviving child.
He told YAFM news that he was incapacitated to meet the demands of raising a newly born child as he relies on doing manual work.
