DISABLED PEOPLE URGE ZEC TO RESPECT VOTER RIGHTS

People living with disabilities say they need to be allowed to choose people who will assist them cast their ballot on election day.
Speaking to YA FM news, National Council of Disabled Persons in Zimbabwe Chairperson for Mazvihwa branch Mr Timothy Thembo said the visually impaired are the most affected as such government should ensure that they get the right assistance.
This comes at a time when the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has been challenged to recognize the voting rights of persons living with disabilities
