ED SHIFTS FOCUS TO ECONOMY

President-elect Emerson Mnangagwa says politics will now take a back seat as government focuses on modernizing the Zimbabwean economy.
In an interview with journalists yesterday the president-elect said he would reach out to Zimbabweans that did not support him in the just ended election and try to win them over while reviving the country’s ailing economy.
President Mnangagwa also reiterated that the 2018 Harmonized Election was free and fair. He however said if any political stakeholders felt aggrieved they should approach the courts in-line with the constitution as Zimbabwe is a democratic nation.
The MDC alliance has previously indicated that it will approach the courts to challenge the presidential election results announced by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.
