GOVERNMENT IN TALKS WITH STRIKING DOCTORS

Government starts talks with doctors as the industrial action by medical doctors enters the fifth day. Secretary-General forZimbabwe Hospital Doctor’ Association chairperson Mthabisi Bhebhe says the government should quickly address their grievance for the situation to return to normalcy.
Minister of Health and Child Care Dr. Obadiah Moyo said they want quick negotiations to end the industrial actions by doctors.
Doctors went on strike in protest over poor working conditions and have also demanded that the government pay their salaries in foreign currency.
