Police says members of the public should desist from putting the law into their hands through retaliating to violence perpetrators.
Officer Commanding Zvishavane-Mberengwa, Mr. Albert Ncube said criminal should be handed to law enforcement agents like police who are mandated to effect punitive measures.
This comes following three murder cases in Mberengwa where one man accused of murdering a local headman was stoned to death by villagers with a similar incident where a neighborhood was stubbed by an intruder at a homestead trying to handcuff him.
He was speaking at a national clean-up campaign launch which was held at Mandava and Zvishvane Central Business District by stakeholders.
