CRIME RATE INCREASES BY 21% IN THE MIDLANDS PROVINCE

General crime in the Midlands province has increased by 21% in 2018 with a total of 3657 cases reported as of November 2018 up from 3010 the previous year.
This was revealed by Officer Commanding Midlands Provincial Senior Assistant Commissioner Conneli Dube during Zvishavane District Cop of the Year Awards:
Detective Sergeant Vincent Sibanda who scooped the Cop of the Year walking away with a fridge and a television set in the process.
The annual event was sponsored by Mimosa mining company as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
