RESIDENTS URGED TO EXERCISE CAUTION TO SAVE LIVES

Motorists in the Great Dyke have been urged to exercise caution on the roads this festive season in the wake of numerous accidents that have claimed more than 100 lives in a short space of time.
Speaking to Ya FM News in Zvishavane last week Mimosa Mining Company Managing Director Mr.
Fungai Makoni called on residents to exercise caution this festive season.
He also called on the corporate sector to chip in and assist the Zimbabwe Republic Police as it carries out its mandate of curbing crime in the country.
Meanwhile the Minister of State for Midlands Province, Senator Larry Mavhima says the rate at which road traffic accidents are occurring is alarming.
Speaking to the media at Gweru Provincial Hospital where he donated food and medical hampers to 12 road accident victims admitted at the institution Senator Mavhima it is sad that most of the accidents are caused by negligence and failure to adhere to road rules and regulations.
