Senior doctors say junior doctors must urgently get back to work citing that the situation is dire in public hospitals. Zimbabwe Medical Association Secretary General Sacrifice Chirisa says the move to suspend junior doctors will create a serious crisis in the health sector.
Government says it will review the curriculum for the medical school in a bid to avoid future challenges of industrial action by health workers. Higher Education, Science and Technology Development minister Professor Amon Murwira said they will address the problem of strikes at school level.
They were speaking during the media briefing by the Acting President Constantine Chiwenga over the industrial action by junior doctors.
