Junior doctors say they will meet today to plan for a demonstration on January 4th after the bipartite negotiating meeting between junior doctors and the government failed to yield results and took a turn for the worst.
Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association secretary general Dr. Mthabisi Bhebhe confirmed the development to YAFM news reporter Nozipho Majola adding that their employer was being insensitive to their month-long unaddressed grievances.
The government had offered to review health workers’ allowances in April 2019 together with those of the rest of the other civil servants. It had also assured the health workers that the remaining $6 million vehicle loan scheme coupled with a duty- free facility would be availed by end of the day on Monday.
