GOVERNMENT SEEKS ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO ADDRESS PROBLEMS IN HEALTH SECTOR

Government says it is gravely concerned with the situation in the country’s medical institutions which continues to deteriorate to the detriment of patients who need and deserve medical attention.
In a statement Vice President Constantino Chiwenga told the media that Government will now take key steps to urgently explore other ways of ensuring that this essential health service is stabilized in the interim.
Doctors have remained adamant, demanding to be paid in United States dollars, despite government having met eight out of 10 initial demands made by the junior doctors, including a car import facility.
In an interview with Ya FM News Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association Secretary General Mthabisi Bhebhe said doctors will demonstrate as planned on the 4th of January.
