Residents in the Midlands province have been advised to stay in proper shelter as the rains will be violent in the coming days.
In a telephone interview with YA FM news, meteorological Officer Mr James Ngoma said areas that include Masvingo, Mberengwa, Zvishavane, Gweru, and Chirumanzu will receive rainfall above 20 milliliters up to Friday.
He also advised animal rearing farmers to make sure that their livestock are in kraals, because there will be violent winds that can affect livestock.
Mr Ngoma also urged people to stay under strong structures, as well as resist staying under tall isolated trees so as to avoid the risk of losing life. By Friday the country will be receiving little to no rainfall, and high temperatures will begin to prevail within.
