Gweru City Council says it will prioritize operationalizing plans for the provision of clean water to all residents as one of its priority areas for the first quarter of this year.
Speaking to the media Gweru Mayor Cllr Josiah Makombe said council intends to have every household receiving clean water by the end of the year.
He added that the council will also prioritize solid waste management.
Refuse collection and supply of clean water has been a challenge for most local authorities, last week Zvishavane residents in Eastlea met with their council representative Councilor Tinashe Mago and complained that they have not been getting water for over six months.
