President Emerson Mnangagwa on Saturday announced that government had reviewed upwards the pump price of petrol and diesel.

The president also warned criminals that have been misusing fuel that the law will take its course.

The Legislator for Vungu Constituency has urged government to ban the use of drums to buy fuel at service stations as it is disadvantaging other motorists.

In an interview with the media Honorable Omega Sibanda said it is unfair that some people are hoarding fuel at the expense of other motorists who sometimes spend days waiting to buy the precious liquid.

He added that big fuel consumers should have special direct allocations and should not access their fuel from service stations so that it does not disturb flow of vehicles at fuel points. He also highlighted that the chaos at service stations is worsening and could result in violence.
