ZINWA CHALLENGES CITIZENS TO USE WATER SPARINGLY

Written by on January 23, 2019

Zimbabwe National Water Authority,(ZINWA) has encouraged citizens to use water sparingly to save available water following continuous  dwindling water levels in most water  bodies.

In a telephone interview with YA FM news reporter, Prince Purazeni, ZINWA corporate communications officer Tsungirirai Shoriwa urged  citizens to take every advantage  of  showers to harvest water.

He also advised residents in the urban areas to use buckets instead of shower bath and hose pipes as these are known for  wasting a lot of water.

The country is likely to receive minimal rainfall this season as predicted by Meteorological department   and authorities are likely to increase  water  rationing later in the year.
