FARMERS FEAR POOR HARVEST AND HUNGER AS RAINFALL REMAINS ERRATIC

Farmers in Chromdry area under Chief Wedza say they fear for the waste following their bad timing in selling their last year ‘s produce to the Grain Marketing Board of Zimbabwe (G.M.B) a development which is likely to expose them to hunger as the water patterns had not favored their area.
Farmers from mining soils who were lucky to have a good harvest last year told YAM news that they regret selling their harvest
Most mining communities including Mberengwa , Shurugwi and Zvishavane have raised concern over little rainfalls this season with Meteorological department urging such communities to plant drought tolerant crops following limited rainfall predicted this farming season
