VENDORS CALLING ON COUNCIL TO SPEED UP CONSTRUCTION

Vendors in Zvishavane Central Business District are calling on Zvishavane Town Council to speed up the construction of proper legal marketplaces which they promised in 2018.
Speaking to YaFM news vendors said they continue to be chased when they sell in undesignated places but the council has not put up enough structures for them to conduct business from. They indicated that vending is their only source of income and they desperately need the market stalls that allow them to work legally in the CBD.
Vendors have in the past lamented their continuous eviction from the streets by the Zimbabwe Republic Police and municipality police.
