People living with HIV and Aids have been urged to stick to their prescribed medication and not default on instruction from non-medical personnel.
In a telephone interview with Ya FM News reporter Prince Purazeni National Aids Council communications director, Medelina Dube said HIV drug patients should not default ARVs as this has dire consequences.
This follows conviction of PHD leader Walter Magaya who was sentenced for contravened section 40 (1) of the Medicines and Allied Substances Control Act which criminalizes the distribution or advertising of unlicensed medicines.
In October last year, Magaya claimed that he had discovered a cure for Cancer and HIV without following the proper legal channels.
