The Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Ministry say government is reviving the Food-for-Work program to alleviate hunger and starvation faced by some communities.

Speaking in Harare on Tuesday Dr Sekai Nzenza said able bodied people can work for food benefits.

She says government has pegged grain transportation costs to wards at not more than $3 per bag.

Finance Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube says government has 500 000 tonnes in strategic grain reserves to feed citizens.

They were speaking during a routine post cabinet press briefing in Harare. Cabinet assured the nation that it has enough food for all citizens.
