Government steps up efforts to compensate floods victims

President Emerson Mnangagwa says the government is doing all it can to make sure that Cyclone Victims receive assistance in the form of food , clothes and shelter.
In his state of nation address last night president Mnangagwa said the nation is in grief following the huge loss
Statistics from ministry of information reveals that death toll has risen to 98, with 217 missing , 102 injured and 42 marooned as of yesterday night.
He said the development is a wake up call for the nation to invest more on housing schemes which will see the building of stronger structures for the people.
President Mnangagwa extended his appreciation to the United Arab Emirates government where he had visited but had to cut his journey short to respond to the cyclone disaster,for a swift response through assisting the nation during such times of need.
