GOVERNMENT SAYS CYCLONE IDAI AID IS NOT BEING KEPT IN SITU

Minister of State for Midlands Province , Senator Larry Mavhima has appreciated efforts by Shurugwi Small scale and artisanal Miners who donated money , foodstuff and clothes to cyclone Idai Victims. Speaking to yafm News Minister Mavhima challenged other associations and large scale miners to follow suite.The donation will assist victims in Masvingo Province. Meanwhile Government says the aid that is being received from well-wishers in Zimbabwe and from outside the country is not being kept in situation but being immediately sent to victims affected by Cyclone Idai last month in parts of Manicaland and Mashonaland East as well as Masvingo provinces.
Addressing members of the Media on Tuesday Local Government, Public Works and National Housing minister Dr July Moyo said the received items are counted meticulously and immediately sent to those in need.
Cyclone Idai left Manicaland Province with 1654 internally displaced persons who are now presently housed at various institutions including hotels and schools. 3014 patients treated so far at various institutions in Manicaland.
