Local authorities say churches which have became one of their big clients in renting building are not loyal with rental payments. Bulawayo City Council Financial Director Kimpton Ndimande says they are owed $2,7 million in unpaid rates and rentals by churches. ACTUALITY- NDIMANDE Meanwhile the City Mayor Councilor Solomon Mguni says churches should practice what they preach and pay their dues to council. ACTUALITY- MGUNI They were speaking during an interface between city council officials and church leaders in Bulawayo. The outstanding dues by churches contribute to the blotted amount which most local authorities claim to be owed by parastatals and government departments.
