BIKITA VILLAGERS APPEAL FOR IMPROVED WATER SOURCES

Villagers in Nyamunda plots, Bikita District have appealed to Government and the corporate world to assist in drilling boreholes in their area which serious water challenges.
Speaking to Great Dyke news reporter Portia Muzorava, ward 10 Councillor Promise Magodo narrated the areas plight indicating that the sole borehole is 20 km away.
Global Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) statistics show that globally, 780 million people do not have access to an improved water source.
In his Independence commemoration speech President Emerson Mnangagwa said government was working flat-out to ensure that all parts of the country have access to clean safe drinking water.
