Shurugwi Villagers under Chief Nhema are challenging multinational investors to plough back to the community of their operation arguing that they should benefit from them as they are destroying their environment.
Ward 11 Headman , Mr Reason Mtemeri said Chinese nationalities are destroying the local road infrastructure with their heavy equipment they use to transport chrome ore.
He however accused these investors for turning a deaf ear when approached to assist with community developmental projects.

Traditional leaders within the mining communities such as Chief Mapanzure have been active in ensuring a win-win situation between investors and communities through making sure they heed to ploughing back to the community calls through partaking in community developmental initiatives.
